Greg West

BIOGRAPHY

Greg West is a member of the 2011/12 US National Team.

Hailing from Springfield, MO, Greg West is a skeleton athlete based in Lake Placid, NY, training to win a bid for the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Greg applied for the sport out of a whim and was scouted by a development coach. He was then invited to Lake Placid to live and train at the Olympic Training Center. He then competed at the America's Cup Tour for 4 races and was 0.03 seconds away from wining a medal in Calgary, Canada. In his second season of competing, during the US Team Trials, he earned a spot on the Us National Team. He competed in the Inter-Continental Cup Tour before being brought up to the World Cup Tour for the Whistler and Calgary stops to compete against the world's best. He would finish his second season with a Silver Medal in the final stop of the America's Cup Tour. In March 2015, he secured a BRONZE medal finish at the USA National Championships.
